The SECRET

There are many secrets in life and one of secret is revealed by our Prof Mr Ghandy a Resident Director of Tata Motors, MD of Telcon and our visiting faculty of “Ethical Leadership”. The “Secret” that reveals the most powerful law in the universe. We were astonished that if this secret is so potent than why it is still the secret, why not everybody knows it and earnest it to gain ultimate power of universe.

My Ghandy revealed the secret through a film “SECRET” .The Secret reveals the natural law that is governing all lives. By applying the knowledge of this law, one can change every aspect of one’s life. It says “Thought become things”

How many times it happen in your life that you were constantly thinking of something and it actually happened or how many times it happened that you are constantly praying the something do not happen and it happens. Secret says “There is an Alladin genie in everybody life who always fulfils you wishes”. Whenever you thought about thing to happen you are creating a law of attraction which attract that thing to you. More you think more powerful is that law of attraction. But this law of attraction do not understand “NOT”. How many times have you wished that “today there should be no traffic jam” and same time you struck in jam. It’s the law of attraction, whenever you wished a genie comes and completes you request.

But only thoughts do now command genie. Thoughts create ideas which should be backed up by feelings. So until you feel and try to work on idea you won’t be able to achieve it. One should always have positive feeling which will generate positive thoughts and ideas. If you will think of "happiness" you will get "happiness". If you will think "debt" you will get "debt".

So guys enjoy and think positive.

There is attitude in my blood which says A B+

XLRI Outbound camp

“If you train hard, you'll not only be hard, you'll be hard to beat.” XLRI GMP batch went to outdoor leadership camp organised by Tata Steel Adventure Foundation on 3rd July 2009. Kudo to XLRI and TSAF for this memorable trip. This trip trained us on camping techniques, leadership qualities, team building and knowing more about team members.

We went to tumur Village, located nearly 30Km from Jamshedpur. Place was perfect for camping activities surrounded by mountains on one side and a small lake on other side. We learned putting up camp. We were divided in 5 groups which compete with each other in various competitions. Each day we appoint one leader of group which take care of managing whole group in various completions. Each day end we have briefing about the strength and weaknesses of leader.

We were stretched to extremes with various activities like hurdle crossing, caving, rock climbing, rappling. During caving we went to small caves and engaged in climbing, crawling and twisting our body to went pass through rocks. Every time we were helped and encourage by team members through hardships. In rock climbing we learned various skills like 3point climbing, Chimneying and Bridging. Don’t be surprised if now I climb rock faster than monkey :-)

We enjoyed the evenings with music, songs, laughter and watching movies about successful trip of Bachendri Pal, First Indian Woman to Climb Mount Everest.

On last day we went to Dimna Lake. We enjoyed the day learning skill of rafting. We have an excellent competition of improvise rafting in which we have to make our own raft and win the race. Thanks to lifejacked which keep us afloat in half sunk raft-)

It’s now 3 days to trip and I am still counting my bones and muscles which are paining :-) . It’s really life time memorial trip and memories of this trip will definitely be in golden pages of my life.

Here are some pictures of the same.

XLRI Managerial Communication Dinner

As per prof Fr A. C. Jesurajan non verbal communication (clothing, body language) is 65% of total communication and is responsible for communicating feelings and attitude. As part of Managerial communication course, XLRI has invited our GMP batch for a seven course dinner on 19th of July 2009.

We were taken through all aspect of dinner from dressing, greeting guests, handling our drinks, table etiquettes to dinning etiquettes. With initial round of drink we were taken to dining table. After 7 rounds of dinner we were stuffed till neck. Thanks that stomach is made of infinite elastics. I also gave us chance to know more about our batch mates. We enjoyed a lot with jokes, laughter and soothing background music.
Here are some of pics

It was really a great experience. Kudos to XLRI and Fr A. C. Jesurajan for such a lavish night.

Resignation – A new beginning

It was 28th of April ’09. I was working at office in CSC to solve problem sent by client. Finally spending nearly half day I got the solution of problem. And the solution looked just perfect; it will definitely solve the problem of client Norwich Union, who is desperate to get solutions. After drafting solution and sending to client, took time off and started browsing my mails. And what’s this!! Yupiii, I got admission offer from XLRI for one year General Management program (GMP).

It Says “We are looking forward to having you in our midst. Just as you have high expectations from the Institute, we too have similar ones from you in your pursuit of professional excellence. We wish and hope that you grow as a top notch professional with a strong sense of self-discipline, integrity and respectfulness.”

It’s really lucky Tuesday for me. I remember how XLRI selected 120 students out of thousands who applied for this course. First short list on basis of XAT and GMAT, followed by Essay writing and then Interview.

On a second thought I started thinking about my current job, that I will be resigning from CSC, to whom I have devoted my 4 years. Oh!!! I will be missing my SAP award which is given to employees who complete 4 straight years in CSC.

Next day, I came to office early and straight went to project manager. 8.50 am and not many were seen on floor. With mix feeling, I gave news to my manager and he was astounded. Recollecting his speech he congratulates me for the big achievement. He said, "then you will be missing your promotion to project lead and also onsite opportunity of 1 year which was planned". I thought in my mind, am I missing too much. Not really! I am following My Heart and Going out to capture the World.

Soon I was in my senior project manger cubical with my manager. He also congratulates me and welcomed my decision of joining such prestigious program. He said, "I am glad that you took this decision and you are always welcome back in CSC."

With this begin my new journey of life.
